May 1, 2018 was a special day for members of RCCGC and their families - the day of official visit by DG Rtn Srinivasan, accompanied by the first lady and District Officials. The function was held at League Club, Vadapalani. The function was organised very professionally by the office bearers, under the expert guidance of Club Trainer Rtn S.N. Balasubramanian.
In the Assembly meeting with club's Board of Directors, District Secretary Rtn P T Kumar, along with the officiating AG Rtn. Dev, Director - Membership Rtn Ramani and DG Nominee Rtn G. Chandramohan, got briefed about various activities and projects of the club.
He also verified the process and documentational aspects of the club's functioning and expressed satisfaction that RCCGC is one of the few, following Rotary systems and procedures totally.
The public meeting was well attended by a large number of club member families; Rotary District officials and Rotarians from sister clubs; representatives of Interact and Rotaract Clubs from Govt. High School, Old Alamathi, Remo International School of Aviation and Sridevi Arts and Science College; volunteers of Medical Camps and others. It started with a soulful invocation by Rtn Bhanu Deepthi.
The club President, Rtn A. Thandapani, welcomed the DG and all other guests. The Secretary's report was made in the form of a professional presentation, that described, in detail, the various activities and projects carried out in the 10 months of existence of RCCGC.
The DG, Rtn Srinivasan complimented the Club team for making a significant impact through a plethora of activities and projects, covering all five avenues of service, in such a short period.
DG Nominee Rtn Chandramohan red out the citations of the Vocational Service Awards presented to facilitate Mr. Karthick Iyer, popular violinist and singer, as well as M/s Sasikumar and Senthilkumar, recognised as "Friends of Rotary" for extending active support for our monthly medical camps.
He also inagurated the club's website.
Vote of thanks was delivered by Rtn S.Balachandran.
The meeting ended with national anthem followed by a sumptuous lunch.
