Tables & Chairs at a cost of Rs 52,000 were donated to Govt High School, Old Alamathi for the use of Teachers on March 26, 2018.
Interestingly, this school, which has benches & desks for the students, does not have Tables and Chairs for teachers, who take classes standing, leading to fatigue and lower productivity.
HM of this school sought our help in this direction. Application was made to RI District 3232 for funds under District Grant which was considered favourably
This Interact School is really benefited by donation of tables and chairs to teaching staff. This school deserves all help, particularly to students who come from most backward area,but excel in their extra curricular activities among dist schools
Great start to providing basic infrastructure to a school.. hopefully we can build and do a lot more for this school and help students do well in their lives.
The above facilitation to Teachers is more appropriate, as without the morale and Teamwork of those Teachers, the Students from poor background might not have come to this level.
Govt High School Old Alamathi is emerging as a model school to be emulated by other schools , thanks to the willing students and committed teachers. Our club, apart from sponsoring Interact Club, has carried out meaningful projects in this school. Donation of Computers, printer, UPS, Executive table & chair for Head Master, napkin incinerator, water purification tablets, Tables & Chairs for teachers etc. Programmes like Joy of Giving, Swacch Bharart , Deepavali Festival. World Polio Day awareness, Enrich, Patriotic Song & District Chess competition , Youth star Awards , Best Teacher Award etc for the benefit of students and teachers helped us to mine more value through Rotary
Let us thank RI District 3232 and District Rotary Foundation Chair for considering our application for District Grant and sanctioning Rs 50,000 towards cost of tables & chairs.
Rtn Shanmuganathan has assured contribution to set up a library in this school . Let us schedule it for July 2018
